Chantier naval situé dans une cocoteraie Baie de Apu, à Tahaa.
​haut lieu de la pirogue Polynésienne ( fabrication d'une des 3 pirogues double qui a découvert la Nouvelle-Zélande). ​
Fafapiti was inspired and constructed in the spirit of ancient Polynesian canoe-building. Her construction took place in a small coconut grove in Apu Bay, Tahaa, Society Islands, which coincidentally was a hotbed for ancient canoe building.
